Colum Parke Morgan is an international performance coach, actor, and teacher specializing in American and European performance methods, including masks and biomechanics. A certified acting coach, he earned a BFA in Music & Theatre from the University of Kansas-Lawrence and two MFAs—one in Acting from the University of Texas-Austin and another in Advanced Devising and Performance Practice from arthaus.berlin.
Colum has studied in small group and private workshop settings with renowned instructors, including Norman Taylor (Lecoq training), Gennadi Bogdanov (Meyerhold's Biomechanics), Theatre de l'Ange Fou (Decroux's Corporeal Mime), Larry Silverberg (Meisner training), Robin Carr (Lessac Voice training), Sergei Ostrenko (Russian GITIS training), and Thomas Prattki (Devising).
Colum has worked and performed in a wide range of styles, including improvisation, children’s theatre, melodrama, vaudeville musicals, classical theatre, and devised theatre. He has appeared in film and television, on radio, and on stage in various settings across the U.S., Europe, the Pacific Islands, Central America, North Africa, and beyond.
Colum has shared his expertise at acting conservatory programs across the nation and served on the faculty as a theatre lecturer and acting professor in the theatre departments at California Polytechnic State University (CalPoly) and Allan Hancock College on California's Central Coast.
A passionate educator, he also holds TESOL in Drama and TEFL certifications and has taught ESL in Paris, Berlin, San Francisco, and NYC.
